A wonderful 57” oval belcher link antique long guard chain crafted in 9ct gold with a dog clip. This is an excellent chain. It is a really rich yellow colour, unusual for 9ct gold. It has an good, slightly angular, oval belcher link. It is a superb statement piece that can be worn long or doubled up and wrapped around the neck. A pendant or charms can be hung from the dog clip. The chain looks lovely worn on its own or as part of a neck stack.

As is common with long guard chains, there is no clasp. The chain is continuous and goes over the head. The chain can also be doubled up and clipped into the dog clip to be worn as a shorter, more substantial chain.

The chain measures approximately 57 inches/144.75m long and weighs 38g. The chain is crafted in 9ct rich yellow gold. It is stamped ‘9C’ on a disc on one of the links closest to the dog clip. The chain dates from the early part of the 20th century.

The links are hollow and measure approximately 4mm x 3mm x 2mm.

The dog clip is a good, useful size and appears to be original to the chain. `it is stamped ‘9C’ for 9 carat gold and measures approximately 22mm across.

This is an antique chain and as such shows some signs of wear as one would expect with a chain of its age. Please see the photographs, they form part of the description.

The other chains and pendants are not included.
