A Chased Edwardian Silver Sovereign Case

A Chased Edwardian Silver Sovereign Case

£185.00

A wonderful Edwardian silver sovereign case with a chased front. This is a real statement piece, designed so that sovereigns could be safely and stylishly transported. This sovereign case looks fabulous worn on a long chain on its own or as part of a neck stack.

There is lovely folate design on one side and a similar design on the reverse with a cartouche in the centre which is engraved with the initials ‘H.A.D. ‘

The sovereign case measures 30mm across, with a drop of 42mm including its bail. It weighs 12.4g. The case is hallmarked for silver, Birmingham, 1908 inside the lid with the maker’s mark of ‘RP’. The sovereign case closes securely with a satisfying click.

The case has a few minor bumps and scratches as one would expect from a piece of its age. Please look closely at the photographs as they form part of this description.

The other pieces of jewellery are not included but some items are available to buy separately.

Shipping using the Royal Mail insured, tracked and signed for service with insurance up to £250 is included in the price, if it is available to your location. Shipping by DHL Express with full insurance and more rapid delivery can be selected at checkout for a flat rate of GBP£40.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are located outside the UK, particularly in the EU, PLEASE check the customs fees and VAT rates in your country that are applicable to the import of antique or vintage items BEFORE you make a purchase.

Customs fees and taxes, including overseas VAT, are the responsibility of the buyer. Taxes can be particularly onerous and vary hugely between destinations. (VAT rates on antique imports into EU countries can be as high as 27% of the purchase price.)

Joanies Jewels is not responsible for such fees and taxes and does not accept returns because they have been levied on a purchase. Please check the website: www.joaniesjewels.co.uk for full details of our terms and conditions.
