A wonderful 16.5” combination Albert chain crafted in 9ct gold with a T bar and double dog clips. This lovely chain is the combination of a 15” oval link antique Albert chain and a 1.5” extender made from an antique trombone Albert chain. These two pieces make a very useful and versatile pair. They look lovely together - the T bar sits beautifully at the front if the chain is worn ‘Albert style’. If the T bar is moved to the back of the neck there is wonderful interest as one side of the chain has large curb links and the other has a trombone link. A pendant or charms could be added to one or both of the dog clip clasps at the front.

The oval link chain is an excellent length to wrap twice around the wrist as a bracelet. (Please check the measurements below to ensure that the length works for you). Together they weigh 34g.

CHAIN:

This is a 15” oval link Albert chain crafted in 9ct antique yellow gold. The chain has two dog clip clasps and a T bar.

The chain is antique and is in lovely condition. It dates from the early part of the 20th century. It has faded ‘9C’ stamps for 9ct gold on every link. The chain measures approximately 15 inches/38cm long and weighs 30.1g. The links measure approximately 13mm x 8mm x 2.4mm

The T bar measures 47mm across and hangs from two gold rings. It is stamped ‘9C’ for 9ct gold.

The dog clips are a good size, measuring approximately 23mm from one end to the other. The dog clips are stamped ‘9C’ for 9ct gold and both have the maker’s mark of WHW Ltd.

EXTENDER:

This is a 1.5” extender made from a link from an antique trombone Albert chain. The trombone link has had end rings added so it can be clipped between two clasps to extend a chain. It is crafted in 9ct antique rosey yellow gold and is stamped ‘9 375’ for 9ct gold. The extender measures approximately 1.5” inches/4cm long and weighs 3.9g. The link measure approximately 27mm x 5.5mm x 2.8mm.
