A wonderful antique jewellery box in navy blue velvet. This is an antique Harrods cutlery box that has been refurbished as a jewellery box. The box has storage on two levels with a removable tray in the centre of the box. This beautiful box is perfect place to store your jewellery.

The box has cushions for rings and earrings in the top left and bottom right, with nine compartments for other items of jewellery, including three compartments in the central tray. The cushions can hold at least twelve rings or pairs of earrings, possibly more depending on their size.

The inside of the lid of this beautiful box has a navy blue velvet frame that showcases the beautiful wood of the box. The box closes with lock and has a working key. The lid sits upright when the box is open. There is a disc on the inside edge of the box that reads:

‘HARRODS LTD, SILVERSMITHS & CUTLERS, LONDON, S.W.1’

The box dates from the early part of the 20th century.

The external measurements of the box are approximately 22.5cm x 17.5cm x 5.5cm.
