A 21.5" Fancy Link Albert Style Chain in 9ct Gold
A fabulous 21.5” fancy link Albert style chain crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a dog clip clasp and detachable T bar. This is a beautiful chain with bar links separated by length of almost lover’s knot links. It is unusually long measuring approximately 4" longer than most Albert chains. The chain has the wonderful, solid feel of a well made vintage piece and is lovely to wear. It would be an excellent addition to a jewellery wardrobe.
The chain measures 21.5" inches/54cm long and weighs 41.8g. It is crafted in 9ct yellow gold and dates from the end of the 20th century. It is is not hallmarked but has been XRF tested as 9ct gold.
The chain’s three long links measure approximately 16mm x 2.5mm x 2.5mm. The lover’s knot sections measure 39.6mm x 5.5mm X 1.3mm at their widest points.
The T bar is antique and measures 39.5mm from end to end. It is stamped '9 375' for 9ct gold and has the maker's mark of 'W & S'. The T bar is not original to the chain.
The dog clip clasp is crafted in 9ct gold. It is stamped '9 375’ for 9ct gold and has the maker's mark of 'W.B.& S.'. It measures 23mm from end to end. The dog clip is antique and is not original to the chain.
This is a vintage/antique piece of jewellery and as such shows some signs of wear. Please look at the photographs as they form part of the description. The other chains and lockets are not included.
