A wonderful Victorian 19.5” celestial double Albert chain crafted in silver. This beautiful and substantial chain is a particularly long. It is an excellent statement chain with fabulous, decorative links. The chain can be worn Albert style, with the T bar at the front, or the T bar can be moved to the back of the neck for a simpler look, or so a pendant or charm collection can be hung from the dog clips at the front.

The chain measures approximately 19.5”/50cm long and weighs 36g. It has a T bar and dog clip clasps.

The links are all quite substantial. The chain has lengths of wriggly links with a punched out star design separated by rolo links, interspersed with fancy long links. There is another length of wriggly links with a cross design at one end of the chain that is likely to be a later, sympathetic addition to lengthen the chain. The links are hollow.

The star links measure approximately 10mm x 7mm x 4mm and the long links 22mm x 7.5mm x 4mm.

The chain is crafted in silver. It has the lion passant stamp on one of the dog clips, with the date letter for 1904 and the maker’s mark of ‘H.P.’ The other dog clip is stamped ‘sterling’. The dog clips measure approximately 21mm from end to end. The T bar measures 37mm across.

Please look carefully at all the photographs as they form part of the description. It is the second chain from the right in the hand photo of multiple chains. Please be aware that this is an antique piece of jewellery and as such shows some signs of wear.

The pendant and other pieces of jewellery are not included.
